World Water Day!

World Water Day is a big day all over the world. There are a lot of places where it’s celebrated with activities and games. Whether you’re in America, Africa or Europe, there are several places where you can join in the celebration.

The Kindergarten at Danube Museum in Hungary is holding a festival that will go on all day and in which the little ones will be able to learn about jobs involving water, like fishing, with the help of experts on water and museum staff.

Another different idea is the one they’ve had in Ghana to celebrate this day. There they’re going to hold a fun run in the Akwamufie community. Who’ll win? We don’t know, but we’re sure everyone will have a great time.

In Central America, too, there’ll be a Youth Encounter on Water with the aim of promoting exchange and reflection among the youth of Latin America as regards water and work in the context of climate change and water security.

And the Curry Student Center at the Northeastern University in Massachusetts has planned a sustainable film season at which films about water will be screened.

And what about your school? Have you organised any special activities? If so, you can share them with the rest of the world here.
